New Idea For Preaching Krsna Consciousness: Krsna Conscious Internet Radio Stations

Using an inexpensive used laptop computer which could be purchased on Ebay.com for $400 or less, it is now possible to set up Internet radio stations very economically. Each station could broadcast a hard drive full of MP3 or RealAudio files of Srila Prabhupada speaking or chanting.

Perhaps we could have a number of stations, each playing all of Srila Prabhupada’s recorded lectures and conversations for a particular year, for a particular city or for a particular country. Perhaps there could also be a station with continuous japa by Srila Prabhupada, one with continuous kirtans, and one with continuous bhajans. Other possibilities would include stations for continuous Vishnujana, continuous Bharadvaja, etc.

A high speed DSL or cable Internet connection can be had for about $40/month or less, so all we need to do is to find people who are willing to put up something like $500, followed by about $50/month, and people who are willing to provide a home for the host computers. Then we could have Krsna Conscious Internet radio stations with a potential audience of millions world wide.
